the fox and Monocle collective
The Fox and Monocle Collective. Established in 2012 by four college students from Oakwood University an HBCU in Huntsville, Al. Together crafting an environment conducive to the diverse creative processes represented amongst the growing collection of talented producers.
Fox Mission
Building unity and openness. Creating a safe space for the creative process to take hold. Focusing on the needs of creatives, looking for tools and resources to achieve their personal goals, while contributing to the betterment of their community. That is The Fox and Monocle.
A campus group called Art & Soul boasted and hosted the only creative environment for our University. A group of poets and musician, cultivated the only tasteful culture of social engagement. A&S provided a safe place for exploration and experimentation for artists of all kinds.
Art n Soul is well represented amongst The Fox crew.
Two other Groups, already in motion when The Fox was born, Free Nation. A lyrical collective of Performers. and The 911 Reporters, a band whose music was occasionally described as a kind of Euphoric, Psychedelic Pop.
The 911 Reporters performed together, for the first time at an Art & Soul showcase.
For a time these groups fed off of one another, working together in pursuit of each others goals.
Shout out to Free Nation. So much could be said about this collection of artists, writers, activists; strong willed and opinionated.
